World's Highest paid Dubstep Violinist earns $6 Million annually

If you know what a violin is, you definitely know who Lindsey Stirling is!

As a Quarter-finalist of America’s Got Talent Season 5, she won hearts of the viewers but after she tried to level up her unique art of dancing and playing violin as a single act, Judge Sharon Osbourne criticized her commenting:  “You need to be in a group. … What you’re doing is not enough to fill a theater in Vegas.”

The YouTube-r didn’t give up on her dream and came back stronger. Guess what, today she’s playing at houseful concerts, raking in millions of dollars each year.

“A lot of people have told me along the way that my style and the music I do … is unmarketable. But the only reason I’m successful is because I have stayed true to myself.”

– Lindsey Stirling

Recently the American business magazine, Forbes came up with their list of ‘The World’s Top-Earning YouTube Stars 2015’ the very first of its kind. The ‘Shatter Me’ star finds herself on the list with an annual income of colossal $6 million!

Stirling started her career by uploading videos of her dancing on self produced electronically influenced music on the YouTube channel ‘Lindseystomp,’ which now has more than 7 million subscribers and over a billion total views.

Fun Fact: Her music video of “Crystallize” was ranked as the eighth-most watched video of 2012.

Since the stats of YouTube stars aren’t publicly available, we’ll agree with what Forbes stated. It’s interesting to note, apart from her online videos the Crystallize-r makes money off live shows and her music albums as well. Going by her Wikipedia page, she sold out 46 dates out of 122 from her first international tour and received a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on from her audience. More to add, Stirling achieved one million singles sold worldwide by August of 2014.

If you’re unaware of who she is, watch the following video and keep a tab of how many times you hit replay!
