With Everything Going Wrong With The World, We Should Just Quit Our Jobs & YOLO

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24 hours you know a lot has changed. With PM Modi deciding that 500 and 1000 rupee notes are now ILLEGAL (WTF?!) and DONALD TRUMP winning the US presidency (WTFFF?!) it has truly been a stressful day. The guy who does cameos in Sex & The City and declares bankruptcy for sport is now the racist, sexist, all-powerful leader of the United States of America.

THIS IS NOT A MEME. I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A MEME!

The repercussions of this are going to be far and wide. The Canadian Immigration website crashed because of the number of people trying to get out of the country (LOL). Women beware, he’s a grabby sort of guy, and Muslims don’t stand a chance of entering the country now.

Looking closer to home, in a “corruption sweeping” move, Modi has declared 500 and 1000 rupee notes illegal as of midnight last night. Petrol pumps, hospitals, airports, etc. are still accepting these notes for the next couple of days but overall a lot of ‘big businessmen’ are pretty screwed. We’re just trying to get by with the change that we have left as even UBER is not accepting our money. For those who have in excess, you should probably find alternate uses for the decorative paper like rolling joints (might as well become a derelict stoner now) or toilet paper if you just don’t want to waste the paper (you know, saving the environment and all). And let’s not overlook the environmental repercussions of replacing the billions of currency with new notes and getting rid of the old ones (Let’s just burn it up, the sky has been looking too clear lately anyway).

This is not a meme either.

Coming to yet another thing that is Majorly wrong with the nation right now. The ridiculously high levels of pollution due to our fire-cracker loving, environment-friendly population that derives pleasure out of sparks flying in the sky DESPITE the many many warnings for pollution, child labour, harm to pets (oh who cares about that, let’s chop up the dogs and put them in momos), and more.

This guy has got it right:

We can go on about the plight of the world right now. These are just some of the facts that are so glaringly unavoidable right now, that we can’t even be in denial. My POINT, is that YOLO. We’ve always dreamt of ‘retiring’, of giving up this rat race, of not being a cog in the mechanism of this consumerist world. The world is a pollution filled, politician ruled, hot mess right now and we should just all sort our affairs, kick back, and get high at a music festival. What say?
