Virtual Reality to transcend your Music Experience to a whole new level

‘Virtual Reality’, these two words potentially enable any normal human being to actually experience things beyond their reach in a very practical manner. We all know that Google’s been working on their virtual reality product ‘Oculus’. Well, Virtual Reality just got better to cater to the needs of everyone in the electronic dance music scene.

The first thing anyone would say when asked “why they go to a music festival?” is because of the ‘experience’ . The powerful lasers, electrifying atmosphere, scintillating lights, thumping music at music festivals is what makes it deliver an unique and exciting experiencing ensuring everyone transcends to a whole new platform of euphoria. Not to mention the diverse people you can meet and the time you can spend with your convives. Although Virtual Reality cannot actually make you feel a human being’s actual presence, it may soon be able to make you feel all the other experiences of a music festival and this sure is a leap forward in the electronic dance music scene.

In a video series created by the people at Unreal “The Future of Virtual Reality”, DJ/Producer Morgan Page who is also one of the creators of VR, briefly describes how this concept could connect intimately with the human feelings and elevate their music experience to a whole new level.

“The big way that we’re integrating VR, is that I want to find a way to take you inside the world of a song.”

The video also displays the lyrics of Morgan Page’s “In The Air”, a hit single by the American Progressive and Electro House producer, flying at you through a 3D space environment. Virtual Reality is also eyeing at providing the users a 360 degree experience by installing several cameras in different venues and festivals thus enabling you to feel like your inside the crowd by means of which you can simply turn your head around to procure a complete feeling of what’s happening around you! Well we have to say this, but the days of live streaming music festivals on your computer’s 17 inches or 21 inches screen will soon become obsolete.

All said and done, people who have been to music festivals will still comply to the fact that nothing can beat the actual experience of being actually present at the festival and enjoying your favourite artist live. Do not expect a vintage scenario where everyone is sitting in their room strapped onto their Virtual Reality devices to experience all this.  However, the whole idea of it is simply attractive and the option that this kind of a device can virtually make you experience a music festival is something that the whole community of electronic dance music will unequivocally appreciate.
