Top 10 DJ Snake tracks/remixes you need to hear before you head to his concert

William Grigahcine better known as DJ Snake or the “Lean On wala banda” is making his way to the Indian subcontinent this Diwali and folks at Grapevine Online have been rooting for him since the day the following post was uploaded:

His music has earned him Grammy-nominations and multiple awards as a producer. The French DJ dropped bombs in the international scene with the single “Bird Machine” and took it to the next level with the fan favorite Dillon Francis collaboration, “Turn Down For What” in 2013. Since then he has released numerous tracks and as a part of his Indian debut celebrations, we’re jotting down our favorite DJ Snake tracks.

Mercer & DJ Snake – Lunatic

First up on our list is a track which brags a perfect mixture of originality and experimentation with fairly acquainted trap elements. A hip-hop collaboration made in the house of Spinnin Records, King of grit Mercer unites with the ridiculously awesome DJ Snake to bring you an energetic opening wave for your house party! This tune is definitely a festival banger which we want to hear during his set and thanks to its instantly recognizable drop, we just know when to bounce!

Dillon Francis, DJ Snake – Get Low

DJ Snake became a household name across the globe after this heavily jacked up collab with Dillon Francis featuring the only lyrics “Get low when the whistle go”. The basic tune is influenced by Arabic folk music of North African origin and includes a sample mix of Algerian folk band Orchestre National de Barbes. Not only it finds itself in the movie Furious 7 and its original video game Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, it’s an available track on the rhythm game Just Dance 2015 also. The official remix is aesthetically the same track but with added vocals from Rae Sremmurd.

P.S. the music video is indescribable, so help yourself.

DJ Snake – Middle feat. Bipolar Sunshine

Relatively quiet since the beginning of 2015, DJ Snake has broken the silence with the next potential “Lean On,” cementing his presence as one of dance music elite acts continuing to rise with main stage performances around the world delivering sets that are the definition of “turnt up”. The almost 4 minute single is built from scratch into a smooth framework, supported by chilled out vocals from Bipolar Sunshine which sound like a pure bliss to the ears with just the right amount of bass. Maybe these are the summertime vibes we were waiting for!

DJ Snake, Lil Jon – Turn Down for What

When the golden duo of DJ Snake and Lil Jon unleashed the massive “Turn Down For What”, the social media went nuts over the songs infectious vibes, the festival crushing ability it had and “Fire up that loud, another round of shots”! Everyone from Diplo and Skrillex to TJR showed support through their live sets. The three minutes and thirty-three seconds was heard in bits and pieces in films like 22 Jump Street, Furious 7, and in the trailers for Horrible Bosses 2]and Brick Mansions! The accompanying music video is just “perfect insanity” as described by Jason Newman of Rolling Stone, fetching the Best Direction Award for DANIELS at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Major Lazer & DJ Snake – Lean On (feat. MØ)

The “can’t get enough of it” track is finally here! We know you’ve heard this tune even if you’re unaware of what EDM is or what water tastes like. “Lean On” is a reggae beat trap-ped in pop melody combined with Indian influenced drums boiling down to an insanely catchy and unforgettable melody, accentuated by MØ’s peppy vocals.

This Major Lazer + DJ Snake single from Diplo’s side project’s latest album Peace Is The Mission continues to be ranked as one of the biggest songs of the year, courtesy – its music video! Set in India with the artists dressed ethnic, dancing Bollywood style, it is a priceless treat to watch! And also, a reminder, India is the next dance music capital! 😉

Skrillex x Diplo, G-Dragon and CL – Dirty Vibe (DJ Snake & Aazar Remix)

With a refined taste in hip-hop and a fine tuned ear for what crowds across dance floors are craving for, DJ Snake and Aazar transformed this Skrillex and Diplo track into a trap anthem. Primarily known for its one-of-a-kind bass centered-Moombathon grooves, the two chose to boldly intensify the electro-dub beats here, raising the bar for their peers and shakin’ dat booty!

Calvin Harris & Disciples – How Deep Is Your Love (DJ Snake Remix)

Not so long back, Calvin Harris teamed up with Disciples to deliver yet another radio friendly dance music track that can also be heard on a hardcore EDM fan’s playlist as well. “How Deep Is Your Love” has topped charts in almost every country and has received remixes from ‘n’ number of producers but the retake that’s caught our attention was DJ Snake’s! The Parisian infected the song with some of his signature production style and stripped down the original dance club luster, charging it up with powerful trap upgrade, surprisingly making it sound better! (I mean, to make Calvin Harris sound better, you’ve gotta be special.)

Tchami feat. Stacy Barthe – After Life (DJ Snake & Mercer Remix)

It may not be something for pop music listeners, but the duo of DJ Snake and Mercer always has sweeping the hip-hop landscape; and after ‘Lunatic,’ this remix is the one of their best collaborations ever. Trap seems to be the new cool but for the record, they have stayed true with their sound even before the genre in itself became a “thing.” It’s safe to say, this particular After Life take is one of the most advanced balances of commercial and coherent club fundamentals on display in the modern market, reminding DJ Snake isn’t the one you want to mess with!

Duck Sauce – It’s You (Dj Snake Remix)

Two of dance world’s biggest names, DJ Snake and Duck Sauce saw their respective sounds take charge on the moombahton-trap based remix of “It’s You” creating one of a kind Twerk and Bounce beat for all the booty out there. The guys bring a big room splash that makes the daunting bass hits so appealingly, delivering a punchy electro in lines glittered with Snake’s favourite electro drums n’ synths. While both the acts have their overwhelmingly successful solo years, as a team the crowd-pleasing bass lovers execute their collaboration in a fantastic manner.

DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge – You Know You Like It

Originally “You Know You Like It” is a song from the electronic duo Aluna George which was further remixed by none of other than DJ Snake, catapulting the single into the space of immeasurable success. In the United States itself, the single peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching numero one on both the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay and Rhythmic charts. The music video of Snake’s version is led by a humanoid chimpanzee who sells drugs and who’s depicted as a pusher of sorts. (I don’t know what the visuals mean anyway, I’m lost in the melodic voice.)

Can’t wait to see Everybody-f-Jump at DJ Snake’s live!
