The Eagles Officially Announce Their Breakup

Posted at March 15th, 2016 | by Supreet.cheema | in

Eagles is a historic band that not only earned a place in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but delivered the world some classic timeless tracks. Following the death of co-founder Glen Frey in January, bandmate Don Henley has now officially announced the breakup of The Eagles. In a recent interview with the BBC, Henly said, “That was the final farewell. I don’t think you’ll see us performing again. I think that was probably it. I think it was an appropriate farewell.

The band payed tribute to Glen Frey with a performance of ‘Take It Easy’ accompanied by Jackson Browne at 2016 Grammy Awards. “It was very difficult and very emotional,” Henley admitted. “We actually almost didn’t do it, but the grammy people were very insistent, so we decided that we would do it.

Eagles previously disbanded in 1980 and got back together in 1994 when they announced their reunion world tour “Hell Freezes Over” and have been playing together sporadically in subsequent years.
