According To A Study, Trance Music Helps Test Tube Babies Develop

Posted at January 17th, 2017 | by Shivani Goel | in Entertainment, News

A recent study in Moscow shows that high-energy music increases the growth and development of babies conceived through In Vitro Fertilization. This isn’t the first study that shows that unborn babies react well to music, but this one is quite persuasive. In the study, 758 eggs were developed in silence, and the same number were developed to a constant loop of Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance mixes.

The results are highly varied. The embryos subjected to the music increased in viability by over 20% as compared to the other group. Which means that there was a higher chance for a successful pregnancy implant.

Dagan Wells, a 20-year veteran of embryonic studies and professor at University of Oxford said, “It is possible that vibrations could simulate some of these effects by agitating the medium, helping to mix the fluid in which the embryo is immersed, diluting potentially harmful chemicals excreted by the embryo and increasing exposure to important nutrients.”
