Steve Angello: If offered, SHM can reunite for a charity event

Posted at December 2nd, 2015 | by Supreet.cheema | in

One-third of Swedish House Mafia and the electronic music icon Steve Angello has recently been inducted into the elite BBC Radio 1 Hall of Fame. Pete Tong bestowed this honour upon the Swedish Powerhouse and discussed with him the origins of Swedish House Mafia, past influences and future plans.

Steve Angello listed the legends like Moby, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, and Faithless among his earliest musical influences. Pete Tong also asked about the legacy of SHM to which Angello said, “I feel like I’ve been part of something really amazing. I’m humbled that I could live through something like that.” And as expected the topic of a reunion came up. Here’s what Angello had to say:

If someone came in 5 or 10 years and said, ‘Hey we have this charity event,’ we would obviously consider it. […] It’s just different now, we’ve grown apart.

Few weeks back even Axwell hinted at renuion. Check it out here. Now while many people would just see this as glass half empty, we would like to revel even in the slightest possibility be it 5 or 10 years later.
