Smirnoff Experience is back with a BANG!

Posted at April 6th, 2015 | by Karan Acharya | in

The Smirnoff Experience is back! This year bigger and better with a line-up that will leave you spellbound. After enthralling fans in Bangalore last year with the likes of dubstep icons Nero and Rusko, this year round the Smirnoff Experience is heading to yet another party hub – Mumbai. The #unfakeit event is scheduled to take place at the NSCI-SVP Stadium on the 17th of April.

The star studded line up will include Electro Legends Knife Party and the Bloody Beetroots who are set to headline the festival and if that’s not enough for all you EDM fans, the event will also play host to Sandunes, Sound Avtar, Dualist Inquiry and Kris Correya.

Now most of you are surely familiar with the performing artists, but for those of you who aren’t, fret not, for Grapevine gives you an insight into what to expect at the Smirnoff Experience 2015:

The Bloody Beetroots

The Bloody Beetroots or Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is an Electro house and dance punk artist popularly known for the black mask with the Venom-shaped eyes that he wears during his performances. Over the span of his career he has had labels with Dim Mak Records, Ultra Records and even Sony Columbia. His first hit came back in 2009 with a song called Warp 1.9 which was a composition along with Steve Aoki and this helped him shoot to fame. His unique punk music is extremely energetic and more intense than most rock songs as well, just the way his fans love it.

Knife Party

The dynamic duo consisting of Rob Swire and Gareth Mcgrillentogether form Knife Party ,which by now, anyone with the slightest interest in Electronic music would be familiar with. Moreover, they aren’t new to the Indian music sector after their explosive performance in the recent edition of Sunburn Goa.Over the past 3 years or so , Knife Party have risen from being the new kids on the block to event headliners at massive venues like including EDC Las Vegas, Global Gathering, Bestival, Lollapalooza and more.

Do check out Knife Party`s set at Ultra Music Festival, 2015.

Dualist Inquiry

Sahej Bakshi, also goes by the name Dualist Inquiry, is a producer, guitarist and composer from New Delhi. He is a regular in the Electronic Music circuit in India and has performed at festivals such as Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Sunburn, Invasion Festival, Sulafest, BASS Camp Festival and India Bike Week. He has also been a supporting act for a host of international producers and DJs touring India, including David Guetta, Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx to name a few.

The other artists Sandunes, Sound Avtar and Kris Correya are home bred talent with immense experience and promise to entertain the crowd with the best music they have to offer.

Smirnoff Experience 2015 is surely a festival to look out for especially with its line-up which is brimming with talent. Make sure you don’t miss it for anything.
