5 Resolutions To Follow The Next Time You Attend A Music Festival

Posted at March 2nd, 2016 | by Shivani Goel | in Entertainment, Music Festivals

Resolutions aren’t just for the New Year, especially since those are broken the most. For the regular festival attendee or even for a first timer, here are some festival resolutions for you to follow.

1. Stay on Festival Grounds

Don’t take a room nearby or stay in the fanciest accommodation available even if you can afford it. Stay in a tent (even a luxury tent) on the festival grounds is another experience altogether. You can actually feel yourself as a part of the living organism that is the music festival.

2. Make at least One New friend

Meeting new people is one of the best things about a music festival because you get to meet such unique people from literally all over the world. Even if your newfound friend is from the other side of the world and you never meet again, it’s still cool to friend that person on Facebook and get in touch once in a while. Who knows, you might meet someone who lives close by and become actual friends.

3. Be Clean

You should leave your camping site just like you found it. It’s not difficult to use a few large bags to dispose off your food and drink cartons. Don’t litter, it’s much easier for the help to clean up after you and it won’t take much effort on your part.

4. Drag a Reluctant Friend Along

Not all your friends must be ravers, so if you’re a music festival junkie then you should drag along a friend who is reluctant to experience such an event just to give them this experience. Chances are that they will truly enjoy and get new experiences even if they don’t want to do it again.

5. Pay it Forward

This is the most important. Festivals usually last 2-3 days and there has to be some time when you’re not busy raving or dancing or chilling with your friends. You can take out some time to help the staff with some general cleaning. Or something much smaller like passing out water or offering people chewing gum can go along way. Inspired by your random kindness, it’s much more likely that people will pay it forward.
