Prodigy ready to 'Wipe the floors' with the new album

Posted at January 29th, 2015 | by Mayank.arora | in

Remember the forecast made by “Prodigy” for their forthcoming album as the “Violent Sounding album”. Well, the work on the LP has finally been completed and the band’s sixth studio album,” The Day is my Enemy”, is now slated for a release on March 30, 2015.

Here’s what Liam Howlett has to say about the release: “We’ve always been like a big broom that’s just cleaning up – wiping the floor. They don’t bother us. It’s mainly DJs. If the dance scene is made up of DJs, that don’t bother us”.

Liam’s enthusiasm for the new album — the first since 2009 — is matched only by his disdain for the current EDM boom: “We’re fans of some people out there, but when you’ve got a scene built on DJs, that’s not healthy. We need more bands that make this kind of music.”

The band has now unveiled the album’s tracklist, artwork, trailer and release date on Cooking Vinyl and Take Me To The Hospital for 30th March. The Day Is My Enemy’s full tracklist is:

1. The Day is My Enemy
2. Nasty
3. Rebel Radio
4. Ibiza feat. Sleaford Mods
5. Destroy
6. Wild Frontier
7. Rok-Weiler
8. Beyond the Deathray
9. Rhythm Bomb feat. Flux Pavilion
10. Roadblox
11. Get Your Fight On
12. Medicine
13. Invisible Sun
14. Wall Of Death

The excerpts from Liam have certainly created a buzz and given a heads-up to the DJs. Eagerly waiting to see how the album would really set a benchmark and motivate more artists to produce such music.

30th March come soon!
