One of Norway's biggest festival draws just 250 people

It goes without saying, just how incredible the rise in fan following, towards electronic dance music has been over the years but at the same time festival organisers seem to have started taking things for granted. An ideal example of this would be the case of the Summer Fade music festival, one of Norway’s most popular festivals.

The two day music festival seemed to have all the makings of a huge festival this year round with a line-up consisting of some big names in the industry like Sick Individuals, Dannic, Matisse & Sadko, John Dahlback, Otto Knows and Jay Hardway to name a few. Leading to the festival, preparations seemed to have gone rather smoothly, however one rather alarming glitch proved to be a shocker during this edition of the festival. The promoters rather slackened out on their duties and as the attendance were envisaged to be around 3000 people prior to the festival; it came as a big blow to the organisers when a measly 250 people showed up on Day 1 of the Summer Fade. The show however went on as planed and the lucky 250 fans ended up getting an up-close experience of a life time with their favourite artists.
What unfolded at Summer Fade 2015 was definitely an eye opener for all event organisers in the future and just shows us that even with the worldwide popularity of EDM, ticket sales for any event, promotions and advertising must follow a well-structured plan and implemented with utter dedication and precision in order to bare great results. Check out the following video of the proceeding at Summer Fade 2015.
