The Special Touches Of Magnetic Fields Festival

Posted at December 24th, 2015 | by Shivani Goel | in

Magnetic Fields Festival did it again! With a great third edition under their belt, let’s look back at the things that made 2015 so special and added to the magical vibe of the palace. The 2016 edition is happening this December and we’re super excited about it. Check out their event page for more details!

The Dungeon Party

Day 2 ended with a dungeon party with artists Soulspace and Soulclap making the crowd groove. Called the Resident Advisor Underground party, it extended into an open area where the more motivated festivalgoers stayed up till the sunrise.

The Killer Crowd

Alsisar being so reclusive, and not entirely inexpensive, mostly had serious electronic lovers who were just there to enjoy the music. There were even a host of musicians and celebrities like Anish Sood, Sahej Bakshi of Dualist Inquiry, Monica Dogra, Vivek Oberoi, and Anushka Manchanda who had also come to enjoy the festival.

The Visuals

The Magnetic team had worked especially hard this year to make this a visual treat as well. There were crazy background projections and laser lights during most performances. The last party of the event, was set around the star fountain, had the most killer set up, with props and projections coming into play.

Waking up to the Desert Disco

The last parties of the night ended anywhere between 5am and 9am. So after a few hours of much needed rest, The Heineken Desert Disco starts around noon and is the only stage that is built in between the campsite and not at the palace. Most of the festivalgoers were staying at the campsite and woke up to the chill beats of artists like Delhi Sultanate and M.Mat.

The Quirky Touches

From quaint little stalls carrying Rajasthani paraphernalia to set ups by designers and artists offering their various skills and products. Mehendi stalls, clothing outlets, and a lot more was up on offer!
