Kygo becomes first DJ/Producer to perform at Nobel Peace Prize Summit

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll better known as Kygo, is one of the few artists who hardly needs any introduction especially after some of his master pieces in the past 2 years. This exceptionally talented artist might have performed on some of the biggest stages around the world or even headlined at various top class venues out there but nothing can come close to this new opportunity that is coming his way; a chance to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Summit which is scheduled to take place next month at Norway.

Kygo rose to international stardom with his breath-taking remix of the track “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran, which has been played about 50 million times on YouTube and very nearly the same on SoundCloud as well. Dubbed by some as the “King of Tropical Music”, his tunes truly sent his listeners into a peaceful new dimension as it had a soothing touch to it. He further went on to make “Firestone” which once again topped charts worldwide.

With his roots tracing back to Norway, Kygo could not have asked for a better homecoming. Based on a press release, the local boy Kygo has been requested to “serenade the National Dialogue Quartet outside the Grand Hotel Oslo,” celebrating the Tunisian laureate for their work for democracy in their homeland. The event will also feature more local artists like a trio from Oslo who go by the name a-ha and musician Aurora. Moreover, the event will be set to be streamed live on YouTube and the concert will begin soon after the Torch Parade at Telenor Arena in Oslo on the 10th of December.
