Justin Bieber Dethrones Adele on Billboard Top 100, Equals John Lennon's 1981 feat

Justin Bieber is the most famous personality all over the world and till now for mostly wrong reasons. After listening to songs “where are you now” and the huge comeback bid “what do you mean” feels like he is here to stay.

After a long break Bieber drops his image changing album “Purpose” and it is working. He did everything from asking help from all his celebrity friends for the 30 day countdown to going on “the Ellen show” for a Bieber Week promoting his album. It looks like its all worked in his favour as Bieber tops the artist 100 chart for the first time in his 71 weeks on list.

The Artist 100 measures artist’s activity across all the charts, track sales, streaming, radio airplay and social media popularity and Justin beiber is the top musical act in the US right now.

“What do mean” is a life changing single for him as just after the entrance of this song as No.1 on the Hot 100, Justin blasted from position 8 to 2. Beiber makes a 95 percent Artist 100 gain, with digital song sales claiming the greatest slice (44 percent) of his points on the chart.

Justin dethrones Adele after two weeks atop the Artist 100 (1-2). Adele’s huge comeback from her hot new single “HELL0” slayed all the fans of Taylor swift.

Justin topped the chart for the first time but it seems like he won’t be holding on to it for long as Adele’s new single has sold almost 500,000 tracks and there is no stopping her as her new album drops today.

Not only this, Justin Bieber stormed the British singles charts on Friday with three singles from his new album in the top five, a feat no other artist has managed since John Lennon, posthumously, in 1981.

Congratulations to beliebers and all the best to Adele.

Rounding out the Artist 100 top five, Drake rises 4-3; Chris Stapleton dips 2-4; and The Weeknd holds at No. 5.
