Is Malaa Skrillex?

‘Who is Malaa?’ is one question that’s been going around in the dance music world ever since Parisian-based producer wearing a ski mask appeared in the dance music scene last year. The mystery producer is signed on Tchami’s record label Confession. There has been lot of speculation about his identity and a number of theories have pointed to DJ Snake, Tchami, or Mercer.

Malaa is also a part of Pardon My French Tour featuring DJ Snake, Tchami & Mercer. DJ Snake’s recent snapchat videos & pictures showed that even Skrillex was DJ-ing on the boat with them. Then around the same time the Malaa tweeted this:

Before you jump to any conclusion, this is likely to be DJs having fun just messing with fans the way they did with Marshmello’s helmet a month or so ago when filming a music video in LA. If you also got swayed away in believing the latest tweet, just go check the tour dates of both artists. For instance, on Feburary 26, Skrillex was playing Ultra South Africa; on the same date, Malaa was playing O2 Academy in Leeds, England. So, clam your horses, Skrillex is NOT Malaa. This is just producers trolling fans. Anyhow check the funny twitter reactions:
