HKV Is Turning Into A Ghost Town And We Have The Delhi Police To Thank For It

Posted at July 10th, 2017 | by Yash Vikram Singh | in Featured, News, Nightlife

For the past 15-20 days HKV has been transitioning into downtown Baghdad pursuant to our beloved Delhi Police who’ve been wreaking havoc all the way from Hauz Khas Village to Aurobindo Market. There have been consistent raids around HKV right when the clock strikes 10 at night in spite of owners of all the joints following every order by the book that has been laid down by law enforcement.

There have also been talks of shutting down ladies night as a whole and ask all the places that host such nights to put an end to it. HKV is one of the best places to throw down in Delhi but it seems like with the po-po throwing down even harder, all that is fading. But the last couple of days have shown significant signs of improvement in HKV right after a meeting between all restaurant owners and Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwary & Shailender Singh Monty to calm all the restaurant owners down and get the matter with the police under control. Instead of providing security to the excessive crowd on peak footfall days, they started stopping people from entering and taking in cars even when the parking lot is big enough to accommodate the traffic.

“Police have been shutting down venues by 11 pm every night, which has destroyed businesses in the area…Protection does not mean asking people to stay home,”

-Riyaaz Amlani, president of the National Restaurant Association of India.

Everything seems back to normal but with the indian express reporting that the police has received “intelligence inputs about foreign visitors being the target of terror outfits”, it’s not the safest place in the world to party at this moment in time.
