Heaven Has a SuperGroup

We’ve lost a lot of amazing musicians over the years and in the past year alone we suffered big losses of artists like David Bowie that saddened the music industry greatly. With the amount of talent that has been sent up to heaven (or hell, we aren’t judging), there must be a supergroup happening somewhere in that alternate universe. Here are some artists that we’ve lost in the past year that must be jamming up a storm wherever they are.

Ian Fraser Kilmister, famously known as Lemmy was an English musician who fronted the rock band Motorhead. He was well-known for his over-consumption of alcohol and drugs and for his collection of Nazi memorabilia. He passed away on 28th December 2015 at the age of 70.

David Bowie

David Robert Jones was the definition of legendary with his multiple personas over the decades and his undying style. The music world was rocked by the death of his news, as he had kept his illness a secret. He died at the age of 69 on the 8th of January 2016, leaving behind a legacy that is going to be remembered for a long time.

Paul Kantner

Jefferson Airplane guitarist Paul Lorin Kantner was an American guitarist, and singer-songwriter who passed away on 28th January 2016 at the age of 74. He was a political anarchist and advocated the use of drugs such as LSD. Kantner passed away because of multiple organ failure and septic shock after suffering from a heart attack.

Glenn Frey

Glenn Lewis Frey was an American musician most famous for being a founding member of legendary rock band, the Eagles. He played the guitar, along with the piano and keyboards and was one of the lead singers as well. He died on 18th January

B.B King

Riley B. King was an American Blues singer, guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. King was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and he passed away on 14th May 2015 at the age of 89.

Ben E. King

Benjamin Earl King was an American soul and R&B singer and record producer. He was best known for composing ‘Stand By Me’, which is still covered by multiple artists. He passed away on 30th April 2015 at the age of 76.
