Most of us are familiar with Eminem‘s scintillating tale of woe. How a broke teen white kid who suffered from grave adversities and then turned the world into his arena as soon as his talent met Dre’s Eye. But now we’re going to see and live inside that story on HBO’s explicit documentary about the rap scene.
Dr. Dre & Slim Shady turned a lot of corners when they went on their journey of super stardom and now they’ll take us along for the ride with The Defiant Ones. The documentary is a series of 4 parts and is as good as television can be.
“I wanted to make it one big, fucking festive Italian meal.”
Said Alan Hughes, Executive Producer for The Defiant Ones. The documentary captures a lot and will give you a much better idea about the rap scene. Alan Hughes has been conquering this genre for a long time. He got it started by making Tupac’s early videos.
