Guns N' Roses all set to reunite for Coachella

It looks like American Hard Rock legends Guns N’ Roses are all set to reunite as they look to headline the 2016 Coachella music festival. As of now, vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan seem to have been confirmed but there has been no word so far regarding the involvement of their original drummer, Steve Adler and rhythm guitarist, Izzy Stradlin. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Matt Sorum will be taking over drumming duty for the reunion. So far there has been no official announcement regarding the reunion but their official website has been updated to feature the group’s original logo. Certain screenings of the seventh Star Wars movie ‘The Force Awakens’ featured somewhat cryptic footage of a concert crowd with G N’ R tracks playing in the background. All this certainly does seem to confirm the rumours. We will have to wait till January for an offical announcement though. Reports also suggest that the band will embark on a 25 city tour of North America after Coachella and that they will be demanding close to $5 million per show.

The founding lineup of Guns N’ Roses last played together in July 1993 at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. Guns N’ Roses’ debut album Appetite for Destruction, which featured the hit single Sweet Child o’ Mine, has sold over 30 million copies worldwide making it the best-selling debut album of all time as well as the eleventh best-selling album in history. The famous music video for November Rain from their third studio album Use Your Illusion I is one of the most expensive of all time.
