Posted at April 19th, 2016 | by Shivani Goel | in Entertainment, Indie, Music

Indie Music is a term referring to unsigned artists or those signed to independent labels and technically it doesn’t refer to a specific genre of music. In India the term has been loosely associated with underground artists who have varying degrees of Indian influences in their music, but it can also refer to any such artist (unsigned or independently signed) of any genre. The Indie scene in India has some dedicated followers who know the music and artists very well, and the following is growing. With festivals like NH7 Weekender promoting indie music, people have started exploring such underground artists as well. If you’re new to the scene and want to give your ear some different tunes to listen to, here are some old and new, top artists and bands you can start listening to.
