Get Ready for Mumbai’s First Dedicated Electronic Music Conference & Showcase

Great Britain’s UK Trade and Investment in collaboration with Audio Visuals Arts (AVA) Festival bring you The Exchange X AVA on 9th March at the Khar Social, Mumbai. The Exchange X AVA will be driven by key partners and contributors such as Generator NI, UK Trade & Investment, Submerge and Bhavishyavani Sound System.

This one day session is an initiative that has grown out of two key events:

  1. The Exchange is a highly successful international conference based initiative which took place for the second time in Mumbai in December 2015 was planned and delivered to specifically connect the multi genre music industry sectors from India and the UK. The conference features leading creative and business specialists from each nation’s music industries and provides a platform to accelerate international networks and partnerships.
  1. AVA (Audio Visual Arts) is a ground breaking annual new festival and conference that first took place in Belfast  (UK) in May 2015. AVA’s festival element focuses on showcasing the most creative electronic music, and its conference element (delivered in partnership with Generator NI, Northern Ireland’s Music Business Development Programme) looked closely at best practice and developments in the electronic music sector and at creative and business connections into the wider digital and visual sectors. The event included a debut Irish Boiler Room, and headline DJ set by Bicep.

Electronic music in the UK continues to confound global expectations and set new benchmarks in track consumption, the extraordinary club and live sector, and as a key lifestyle driver. The conference will seek to take some of the UK and India’s electronic industry-from DJ/performers to digital marketers- and facilitate a series of panels and discussions designed to stimulate conversations, networks and skills in where the global electronic sector is headed in 2016, and how the UK and India’s key electronic stakeholders can create new collaborations and partnerships in its development.
