10 Game Of Thrones Background Scores That Will Give You Chills

Game of Thrones’ explosive Season 7 is running on the airwaves currently and we’re all losing our minds each week. Here we are with a list of soundtracks that compliment the show to make it even more heart-stopping than it already is!

Light of the Seven

Ramin Djawadi has outdone himself with Season 6 and especially with this one. The soundtrack takes centre stage and reaches a steady crescendo when all the action bursts forth. This makes it to the very top of the list.

Tower of Joy

The music is nostalgic and very fitting with the flashback scene that ends with a confirmation of a most coveted fan theory. The culmination manages to give us the goosebumps we deserved.

Rains of Castamere

Every time this Lannister ballad plays, its ominous notes make us fear for characters that we love because we know how “a Lannister always pays his debts.”

House Stark

True to their landscape in the North, the Stark theme is brooding and grey and fills us with a sense of melancholy.

Mhysa

A triumphant realization that Daenarys goes through amidst chants in Valyrian that combine with her theme, making it a powerful conclusion to the season.

Chaos Is A Ladder

This is a powerful thematic sequence as it plays over Littlefinger’s chilling monologue. It goes best with the montage of events that unfold in the episode.

The Unburnt

Daenarys’s theme is reminiscent of a battalion ready for war. The drum beats amalgamate perfectly both Targaryen and Dothraki elements.

Valar Morghulis

The theme is as mysterious as the ancient Braavosi temple and its faceless assassins. It is moody but has a splendid build up.

Night’s Watch

This song is pretty uneventful until the crescendo and drums at the end. They save this song from being a total snoozer.

Stannis Baratheon’s theme

Warrior style marching song with influences from the opening theme but does not have that effect.
