Festival Finds at Bacardi Nh7 Weekender Delhi Edition

NH7 Weekender is a great event to attend even if you aren’t too familiar with the music. The Delhi edition had some crazy performances that were irresistibly catchy even to first timers. Here are the top 5 artists and bands that drove the crowd into an absolute frenzy:

Reggae Rajahs

With their crazy, confident energy, and funky, reggae beats, the Rajahs had their audience hopping to their music. They taught cool dance steps, threw colorful whistles at the crowd, and basically won at crowd interaction. India’s first reggae sound system, the Reggae Rajahs even played some new tunes from their upcoming album.

Flying Lotus

FlyLo from California had the most psychedelic stage setup, with extra screens bouncing off superimposed images. The crowd was riveted to the visuals, and paired with his experimental, electronic sound it was an absolute treat. A rendition of Kaliyon ka Chaman towards the end was the cherry on top of a fantastic set.

Mark Ronson

Excitement was high for international artist Mark Ronson, even though people mostly knew him for Uptown Funk. To everyone’s delight he played a very commercial set with a lot mixes of popular tracks like Lean On, and dropped three Punjabi songs, which was definitely a hit with the Delhi crowd.

Nucleya

You haven’t really experienced his music till you’ve heard the Bass King play live. His infectious energy drove the crowd crazy, and thousands of fans were jumping to his infamous Akkad Bakkad Nucleya’s music is an eclectic mix of EDM fused with Indian beats, which results in a unique and super catchy sound.

Pronounced subtract, band leader Aaron Jerome chose to maintain his air of mystery by donning his signature half mask, inspired by native, ceremonial styles. He played a DJ Set with focused and consistent energy, and kept his audience spellbound to his electronic tunes.
