DJ Snake Visits Bangladesh Refugee Camp To Go 'Live' For A Cause

Posted at November 28th, 2017 | by Sidhantha Jain | in News

William Sami Etienne Grigahcine, better known as DJ Snake is currently in Bangladesh with a mission to bring the netizen’s attention to the one million plus Rohingya refugees from Myanmar (Rakhine State) who are being forced to live an inhumane life in Bangladesh.

The ‘Broken Summer’ hit maker along with the activist network Love Army is set to live-stream on Tuesday, starting at 7 a.m. Parisian time, 11:30 a.m. IST among the Rohingya refugees in their camps to spread awareness as well as raise resources for the stateless minority which in turn would help them in providing better education, food, water, medicines, shelter and more.

Snake isn’t the only one campaigning for the Rohingya people; Nath Campos Omar Sy , Mister V , Seb la Frite , Jhon Rachid and Le Grand JD have also traveled to the largest refugee camp in Bangladesh to launch a call for donations. The movement has already begun on social networks, including the #loveArmyForRohingya.

The project is led by Jérôme Jarre, the founder of the Love Army who did a project for famine in Somalia on the same lines.
