Posted at March 4th, 2015 | by NikitaBhanu | in

At this year’s 57th Annual Grammy Awards, American DJ, music producer, rapper and songwriter Diplo announced the release of his much awaited album Jack U. When asked about his upcoming projects, he gave a little peek of the album’s expected release dates:

“The Madonna album’s out in March. I did a lot of her album. Then there’s Major Lazer, my project, which I did with Ariana Grande, Ellie Goulding, Travis Scott, Pusha-T, Gwen Stefani- that comes out in April. And with Skrillex I did an album called Jack U, that’s out this month, that’s really cool.”

Grammy winning American EDM producer, DJ, singer and songwriter Skrillex and Diplo came together as Jack U in September 2014 to perform at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami and quickly rose to the top of the charts with the release of their first official single “Take Ü There” featuring vocals from Kiesza.

Fans have waited a long 5 months in anticipation of the release of an album. On 23rd February, Diplo accidently posted on Instagram a shot of Jack U fan art with the caption “three days.” which was subsequently removed.

The fans were not let down as the album was dropped In the middle of Jack U’s own 24-hour party. The 10-track release features their hit single, Take U There, the Missy Elliot remix, and eight new originals, including massive collaborations with AlunaGeorge, 2 Chainz, and even Justin Bieber.

The track listing is:

  1. Don’t Do Drugs Just Take Some…
  2. Beats Knockin (feat. Fly Boi Keno)
  3. Take Ü There (feat. Kiesza)
  4. Febreze (feat. 2 Chainz)
  5. To Ü (feat. AlunaGeorge)
  6. Jungle Bae (feat. Bunji Garlin)
  7. Mind (feat. Kai)
  8. Holla Out (feat. Snails & Taranchyla)
  9. Where Are Ü Now (feat. Justin Bieber)
  10. Take Ü There (feat. Kiesza) [Missy Elliott Remix] [Bonus Track]

So far the album received mixed reviews with most critics blaming the intense hype surrounding it’s release on the little disappointment. However, it’s still early to write them off as the tracks are still on the rise on global EDM charts.
