Delhi celebrates Contemporary arts week with Hari & Sukhmani, Bandish Projekt and More..

The third edition of Contemporary Arts Week is all ready to kick start in Delhi on the 3rd of October. A bigger, better and a much more enthralling edition compared to the first two editions, this time, it is all set to witness 120 performances and a show of 300 artists spread around 45 venues all around the city. The event has been scheduled for the week of October 3-10, 2015. The Contemporary Arts Week, a performing arts festival is organised by the non-governmental organization Friends of Art which spans the various forms of art viz a viz Music, Dance, Photography, Theatre, Short Films, Open Mic, Clowning, Improv Theatre and several other arts. The event begins its proceedings at the Nehru Park in Delhi on the 3rd and 4th of October with an art and food carnival.

 

Amongst the various performances, the major acts feature an electronic act BandishProjekt, an Indo-Spanish production “Under the Poplars” and also a very prominent and popular Dance Company. The list also includes several other DLF Promenade, Summer House Café, Akshara Theatre and Delhi University Campus.

 

This platform was initiated to mainly provide a chance to all the independent and small artistes who have found it difficult to portray their talent. Also, the event features established performers in the industry who are sure to make the event massive.

 

Make your way to the event before 3PM on the 3rd of October, for the entry is free until then. Variety of food stalls, exhilarating performances, sundowner events, Delhi NCR is wait awaits at the event for everyone who intends to be there! So get yourselves there and enjoy the most of it. A week filled with contemporary arts is all set to begin, tomorrow is now.
