Avicii cancels all future performances... again!

Tim Bergling better known as Avicii has been on a roll with the success of his hit single “Waiting for Love” and is gearing up for the release of his sophomore album, Stories, to be out on September 25th. Not so long ago, he announced the tracklist along with two singles available for download, which are worthy of a listen more than just once!

The 25 year old is in the headlines again, but for not-so pleasant reasons. It’s been just over a year since his tour dates for 2014 were cancelled ‘cause of serious health issues, team Avicii has once again pushed back previously announced festival dates and residencies for rest of the year. Last year, he cited the need to focus on his health after a gall bladder incident that cost him a Miami Music Week appearance and further cancellation of his headlining slot at TomorrowWorld, Ultra Music Festival and multiple residencies. However, this time the excuse is not reportedly health-related; his representatives broke the news in a statement sent to Billboard, mentioning, the ‘Levels’ guy is taking “a well deserved break” and that the delayed gigs would return next year with “larger tour initiative.” Multiple Vegas appearances at XS and Encore Beach Club will be “moved to next year,” as well as major performances at Shanghai’s STORM Festival and two shows in Japan. Billboard further disclosed that his team explained the current schedule is too hectic for the artist: delivering his new album Stories as well as adopting a new directorial role for music videos for “For a Better Day” and “Pure Grinding” have overloaded his summer, forcing him to take a hiatus for the rest of 2015.
Looks like physical health may not be the issue, it’s just, he needs to concentrate more on the mental aspect of well-being.
He himself issued a statement to Billboard:

I look forward to keep being innovative with my team in leading a bigger change than just with my music. In moving my tour promotional responsibilities to next year, I have a great opportunity to focus on myself and spend time trying to grow up in a way I never got the chance to – normal, or as normal as it could get. My team, label and family have encouraged me to do that and I realize not many in my position get that opportunity.

For unknown reasons, the month of September seems to be jinxed for Avicii! We hope he returns to perform soon and considers an India tour too!
Until we get a chance to dance to his beats live, give a listen to his latest singles from Stories
