Swedish House Music Sensation Tim Bergling aka Avicii has confirmed his first gig of 2015 at the Ultra Music Festival. After having cancelled his gig during Miami Music Week due to health issues last year, the ‘Wake Me Up’ hit maker is recovering and is super pumped to get behind the decks once again and surprise his fans yet again with another staggering performance.
Sources reveal that the reason behind the cancellation was severe abdominal pains that landed him in the hospital instead of headlining Ultra Music Festival. The producer/DJ has always gifted his fans a surpise or two ever since his performance at Ultra Music Festival’12, where he was joined by pop sensation ‘Madonna’ and at Ultra Music Festival’13 when he prepared a special set that was dedicated to his Debut Album ‘True’. However,2014 was a colossal year for the superstar as his single ‘Wake Me Up’ became the most streamed song on Spotify. Not only that, he even released the infamous ‘Avicii by Avicii’ edition of his debut album where he left no stones unturned to transform the whole album into a house music classic. His residency at one of the most prestigious and world Class clubs ‘Ushuaia’ was a great success too.
The producer however, due to excessive touring that led to a deterioration of his health, announced that he had been strictly recommended by doctors to take ample amount of rest which led to cancellation of his Asia Tour, TomorrowWorld along with Australia’s Future Music Festival.
Just to stay in touch with his fans he did a Q&A session in October that revealed information about his next album that includes almost 80 tracks featuring collaborations with Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Chris Martin (Coldplay), Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Jon Bon Jovi and many more.
Alongside the release of his Debut EP ‘the nights’ in December, when every other artist was busy touring and performing at world class venues, he organised a special Avicii’s One world party whereby he created a special playlist for his fans on spotify and on New Years Eve left his fans in awe after he moved back to his roots and premiered ‘Avicii by Avicii’ remix for his latest single ‘The Nights.’
It will be interesting to see how he shows up this year and what all he has in store for his fans.
