It's Been 5 Years Since The Weeknd Released His Legendary Album TRILOGY

Posted at November 17th, 2017 | by Arjun RK | in Entertainment

November 13th marks 5 years of The Weeknd’s triple mixtape compilation album “Trilogy.” After singing a record deal with Republic Records in 2012, he remastered and compiled his previous three mixtapes which were initially released for free on the internet and compiled them together along with an additional three songs to create Trilogy.

A video release of one of the tracks “Rolling Stone” was released to promote the albums launch. The song also talks about how finally fame has found him and now his voice is no longer his own but belongs to the media.

Trilogy received positive criticism from listeners stating that the artist really tells a story in his music and we start to develop feelings for him throughout the album. Today The Weeknd is regarded as one of the most prominent artists in the industry, an incarnation of Michael Jackson with 11 platinums in the last 5 years. Although his old fan base and new fan base still complain about his change in voice and style, we can only expect great things to come from this living legend.
