5 Budget Festivals in India under INR 10K

There are a ton of festivals that happen around the country with varying degrees of expenditure. Even if you have a constricted budget, you can find your way to some of the festivals that interest you. We’ve compiled a list of 5 festivals that you can attend under INR 10,000 depending on where you live.

Sensation

Venue: Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad
Date: 6th February
Basic Tickets: INR 3,200

Sensation is the world’s leading dance festival and it’s coming to India for the first time. It’s just a one day festival so apart from the ticket, if you live in Hyderabad it will hardly cost you anything. If you take a bus or train clubbed with overnight stay expenses, you can still manage well under 10K.

SulaFest

Venue: Nasik, Maharashtra
Dates: 6 – 7 February
Basic Tickets: INR 6,800 for 2 Day Festival Pass + 1 Night Camping on Grounds + Breakfast

This year will be the 9th edition of this gourmet world music festival. You can manage your stay on grounds under INR 7,000. Adding travel back on forth and overhead if you spend judiciously shouldn’t cross 10K.

Udaipur World Music Festival

Venue: Udaipur, Rajasthan
Dates: 13 – 14 February
Tickets: Free Entry

The first time this coveted festival is going to take place in the city of lakes. Entry is free so you’ll only have to worry about travel and accommodation.

Parvati Peaking

Venue: Kasol, Himachal Pradesh
Dates: 27 – 30 May
Tickets: Avg. INR 3,000

Kasol is an inexpensive place to stay in overall. If you an your friends are bunking together you can find very reasonable accommodation. With an overnight bus to and from your destination and some overhead, you should still be able to manage in your budget.

NH7 Weekender

Venues: Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Shillong, Kolkata (Maybe more cities this year)
Dates: TBA October – December
Tickets: Avg. INR 3,000

Last year it happened in 5 cities, this year it might happen in more. The NH7 Weekender is the happiest musical festival and with it’s spread out locations, no matter where you live in India, you can reach in a bus ride.
