5 Brilliant Star Wars Mashups

Posted at December 23rd, 2015 | by Nikhil George | in

With the seventh Star Wars movie ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ slated for release in theaters across India on December 25, the excitement is palpable. This is pretty much the single biggest moment in sci-fi pop culture in more than a decade and the wait is killing us, especially since it is releasing a week late in India. We’ve compiled a list of five insanely brilliant Star Wars mashups that will keep you entertained while you wait for the Force to awaken in India. And don’t worry, no spoilers!

The Star Wars That I Used To Know

In this hilarious take on Gotye’s hit ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’, you can almost feel Darth Vader’s pain as he laments ‘What happened to the Star Wars that I used to know?’ Even George Lucas makes a quirky cameo appearance in between.

The Dead Wrong Imperial March

Listen to this mashup from Otaku Clan’s ‘Life After Death Star’ to get a taste of what’s on offer when you mash up John Williams’ Star Wars soundtrack with some of the Notorious B.I.G’s biggest hits. Although this might not seem like a great mash up on paper, the end product is just sheer brilliance!

Moves Like Jabba

In case you ever forgot that Princess Leia’s gold bikini was Jabba’s idea, this song will jog your memory a bit. It’s extremely hard not to sing along with this extremely catchy ode to one of the creepiest Star Wars character!

Bohemian Rhapsody: Star Wars Edition

To come up with Star Wars related lyrics and put them to the tune of Bohemian Rhapsody is just sheer lyrical brilliance. We’re pretty sure that even Freddie Mercury would approve of this mashup!

Do You Want To Kill Some Rebels?

If you don’t feel like killing some rebels, it’s probably because you haven’t heard this version of ‘Do You Want To Build A Snowman’ from Frozen…
