Lovers of Indian indie music would be familiar with most of these tracks that were released in 2015 or late 2014, which made the rounds. Here are 15 of the most popular indie songs that we were listening to throughout the year:

Stitches – Sandunes

A mellow, electronic treat from the lost hard drives of Sanaya Ardeshir a.k.a Sandunes.

Aaja – Nucleya feat. Avneet Khurmi & Guri Gangsta

One of the best tracks from the latest Nucleya album, Aaja is fused with very ethnic vocals.

Copulations – Peter Cat Recording Co.

A nostalgic, slow song filled with magic and smooth lyrics, reminiscent of the swing/ jazz era.

Sharaabi – Madboy/Mink

Listen to it here.

Madboy and Mink gave their own funky, upbeat spin to this popular Bollywood track.

One Love Nepal – Reggae Rajahs

With all the tragedies that happened in Nepal, the Reggae Rajahs released an unusually mellow track as on ode.

My Obscurity – Curtain Blue

Abhishek Bhatia produced this electronic track fused with haunting vocal melodies and a hint of bass.

Nadia – Midival Punditz

An ode to rivers, nadia is a slow, soulful song with deep vocals backed with the instrumentals that the Midival Punditz are famous for.

The Enigma – Dhruv Viswanath

A combination of Dhruv’s guitar strumming and riveting vocals, this song will give you goosebumps.

The Coconut Song – ALO WALA feat. Brooklyn Shanti

Alo Wala redefines funky with fast, measured vocals and low key beats.

STAYLO – Sid Vashi

With just a touch on Indian beats thrown in there, STAYLO is another great Sid Vashi track.

Go – Prateek Kuhad

A track from his latest album, Go is about love and losing lovers.

Bajre De Soundboy – Su Real

DJ Su Real remixes a very popular Punjabi track into this upbeat, catchy version.

So High – Sapta feat. Shravan Sridhar

With Shravan Sridhar creating magic on his violin, So High was composed in Paris and perfected in the Maldives.

Drummer Aditya Ashok mixes his mad skills with his electronic experience to create Paragon as a part of his album Recess.

Mukti – Ritviz

New kid on the block, Ritviz makes groovy, bass heavy tunes with his own fusion touch and Mukti is no exception.
