10 Rock Stars Who Died Way Too Young

Posted at January 2nd, 2016 | by Sidhantha Jain | in Entertainment

Rock music heavyweights are bound to live their life like a boss and carry forward their legacy. Their existence is often driven by the concept of “Live fast die young.” I’m not saying this based on an assumption; the following celebrities are to blame!

Jimi Hendrix

His blooming career came to an end after choked on his own vomit after overdoing it with barbiturates. He was only 27 then.

Kurt Cobain

The Nirvana lead also died at the age of 27 when he blew his brains out with a shotgun.

Brian Jones

The Rolling Stones front man saw his lustrous career reach the dead end at 27 when Brian passed away in his own backyard pool drooling over drugs and alcohol.

Jim Morrison

The number 27 seems be jinxed for every rock star as The Doors’ Jim Morrison passed away on suffering a heart failure while taking bath in Paris.

Sid Vicious

The Sex Pistols’ touring bass player died at 21 years of age from a drug overdose in New York after being arrested for murdering of his girlfriend.

Bon Scott

AC/DC’s 33 year old lead singer never woke up after a night of nonstop booze and passing out in a friend’s car.

John Bonham

He drummed his way to stairway to heaven after 16 vodka shots, a ham sandwich for breakfast, some more spirits and a never ending dream. As it turns out, he puked and suffocated to death.

Freddie Mercury

The 45 year old expired lost his life to AIDS. All rumors were bashed when a report confirmed the presence of the HIV in his blood at a Harley Street clinic.

Queen's Freddie Mercury in 1982

John Lennon

John Lennon’s assassination was one of the most tragic events ever in the rock music history. He was shot by Mark David Chapman in the same building where he lived in New York City on 8 December 1980. The Beatles star was declared dead upon arrival at the Roosevelt Hospital, sustaining four fatal wounds.

Les Harvey

The lead guitarist for ’70s blues-rock band Stone the Crows, died onstage ’cause of a poorly grounded microphone at the age of 27.
