10 Pop Songs Which Were Co-Produced By EDM Artists

Posted at February 7th, 2016 | by Sidhantha Jain | in Entertainment

This is not the first time that we’re posting a list of this sort. Previously, we came up with a list including 10 songs produced by EDM DJs and again, we bring to you 10 chart busting mainstream songs that were built conceived in a studio of a dance music producer.

Chris Brown feat. Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes – Look At Me Now

This hip-hop based track was produced by Diplo and Afrojack.

Britney Spears – Toxic

It was written and produced by Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg collectively representing Bloodshy & Avant. Interestingly, Christian is also one half of the Runaway (U & I) fame duo: Galantis.

Lady Gaga – Venus

From her album Artpop, it was written by Gaga, Sun Ra, Paul “DJ White Shadow” Blair, and Hugo “Madeon” Leclercq, along with little-known house music composers Dino Zisis and Nick Monson.

Kanye West feat. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz – Mercy

The song uses samples from the song “Dust a Sound Boy” by Super Beagle and was produced with the help of Lifted, Kanye West, Mike Dean and Mike Will, and additional instrumentation from Hudson Mohawke.

Flo Rida feat. Sia – Wild Ones

The track received production support from soFLY & Nius and Axwell.

Example – Kickstarts

Example is majorly responsible for the instrumentals on this project but brought in  Sub Focus to add a harddance edge to it.

Rihanna – Where Have You Been

The Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling

Not many know, but originally BEP’s biggest track ever was produced by none other than David Guetta!

Coldplay – Hymn For The Weekend

After a successful collaboration on ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’ Coldplay joined forces with Avicii once again for this hit from their latest album.

Pitbull feat. TJR – Don’t Stop The Party

Although TJR’s name is mentioned in the production credits, most of us don’t know that Pitbull actually covered a TJR original, “Funky Vodka!”

I love EDM, it loves me back. It pays for my food bills.
