10 Indian Acts to watch out for at BEVC 2015

(BEVC), one of the most prominent festivals to happen in the sub-continent region of India returns for its 2015 edition with an even bigger line-up this year with some of the top notch DJs around the world bringing their exquisite piece of work to the main stage at BEVC 2015. Scheduled to transpire on the 18th to 20th of December this year, the first ever music festival of its kind, BEVC brings to India a slight touch of Tomorrowland by getting together the camping sites, famously known as the Enchanted Village, alongside the adventure sports and other appealing activities over the span of the festival.

It definitely can be categorized under an eccentric festival given the fact that not many music festivals happen on an airstrip! Held in the beautiful city of Aamby Valley City, the fans of BEVC sure are flowing in humongous numbers as the sales for this unique and enthralling festival are scraping the sky already. With artistes such as David Guetta, Aly & Fila, Martin Garrix, Borgore, Steve Aoki, UMEK and several other big names having already performed in the previous editions of the festival, this year’s BEVC is all geared to assault all the senses with some exceptional music and scintillating visuals in a serene city.

Offering diverse music over the three-day festival, BEVC seems to have the perfect balance in their line-up. From Indie Rock to Fusion, from House to Techno, from Trance to Experimental music, you can find all of these in one place, BEVC 2015.  What’s even better is you are in for a treat as some of the nation’s best talent is all set to take the stage and  deliver an electrifying performance and make sure that each and every person in the crowd gets their money’s worth! Here’s a look at some of the Indian acts you surely don’t want to miss:

  1. Zaeden

A boy from Gurgaon who started DJing when he was 14 years old and the first Indian who signed up with Spinnin’ Records is sure to set fire to the stage with his big room sounds beautifully combined with some eclectic melodious tunes. You can expect Sahil Sharma aka Zaeden to drop his brand new collab with Borgeous called ‘Yesterday’ during his show at the festival.

A duo who began their electronic music journey back in 2009, have been well recognized by Tiesto and Armin van Buuren for their first track ‘False Promises’ which led them to further producing even better tracks and eventually to their recent Europe tour which included shows in Tomorrowland, Summerfestival and many others.

  1. Samved

SamvedAn eccentric band which concentrates fusing classical music with electronic dance music is definitely worth being placed in the top 5 bands under Folk Fusion. A band which predominantly uses Sarangi in their shows, focuses on providing the right mixture of upbeat dance music with soothing classical Indian tunes.

  1. Arjun Vagale

Arjun Vagale

The one artiste from India who tours the world commercializing the underground tunes with the Indian touch to it, is this man. Arjun Vagale is one of the few Indians to have played alongside big names such as Fatboy Slim, Dubfire and other gigantic maestros in the field of Techno music.

  1. Zenith

Zenith Harshit and Aniruddh are the two names who compose the dynamic Mumbai based duo Zenith. Following the amazing response of their first bootleg of  Above & Beyond vs Blasterjaxx (Thing Called Titan), one half of the duo (Harshit) went on to co-produce ‘Cyclotron’ with one of India’s leading EDM names Mash. Ever since then, these two Mumbaikars have sure been one of the names in the lists of artistes dominating the Indian EDM scene.

Piyush Bhatnagar aka Sound Avtar, India’s protégé in the field of Drum & Bass/Dubstep is packed with some unconventional music ammunition and is all set to give the audience a taste of his eccentric style of music and prove why he was voted the best Drum & Bass/Dubstep DJ/Producer by MYFAV awards for the year 2012-2013.

This Mumbai based Indie rock band specialize in delivering strong social messages through their spectacular Hindi lyrics while fusing progressive rock with Hindi rock music and this is something to look out for at this year’s Enchanted Valley Carnival. 

  1. Aerreo

Aerreo

The first ever Indian to have his single featured on Nicky Romero’s radio show Protocol radio and one of the very few talented localites to have performed at the renowned Ministry of Sound Club in London, is one of the most eagerly awaited acts at Enchanted Valley Carnival this year. With his brand new record ‘Black Satellites’ releasing soon, Aerreo is one of the rising talents in India who is sure to make a lasting impact soon.

  1. Joshi

Joshi

Rishabh Joshi, the man acclaimed by several popular names in the Trance scene including Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, this Goa born DJ/Producer has also signed a record deal recently with the gargantuan label Armada music owned none other than by Armin van Buuren himself! You can reckon that your dosage of some uplifting trance at this year’s BEVC will be taken care by this man.

  1. Progressive Brothers

Progressive Brothers

Two  men who have shared the stage with artistes like David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Above & Beyond, Dada Life, R3hab are coming to BEVC again this year with even better and powerful big room music. Sunny and Karan, a duo which manages to play over 150 tracks consisting of big room, trap, electro house and some hard style music in a 2 hour set is something to watch out for at Enchanted Valley Carnival this year.
