Nh7 Weekender is hosting 3 major multi-day events this year in Shillong, Hyderabad, and Pune, and the Shillong edition is up first! Weekender is anyway an event that is not to be missed and this stellar lineup has convinced us even more! Check out 10 homegrown artists that you should watch out for at the Shillong Weekender!

Farhan Live

The most multi-faceted ‘Bollywood’ celebrity, Farhan Akhtar and his live music band usually perform his movie tracks and now some of his own songs as well. If the ‘Rock On’ star is going to be on stage anywhere, we definitely can’t miss out on that!

Dualist Inquiry

India’s electronica frontman Sahej Bakshi is a fireball of talent. His fusion of electronic beats with live music is truly unique and his live performances are captivating!

Madboy/Mink

Saba Azad and Imaad Shah form this Mumbai based dirty disco, funk and old-school swing duo who light it up on stage with their upbeat, peppy sound!

Imphal Talkies

Manipur’s Imphal Talkies was formed back in 2008 by Akhu Chingangbam and is one of the most accomplished bands from the North East. They infuse politics and support for minor communities into their music and take it to another level!

Prateek Kuhad

The effortless crooner, Prateek Kuhad and his guitar have together won over many fans. With beautiful songs in both Hindi and English, this is one act you’ll definitely want to sway to!

SickFLip

Sarvesh Shrivastava‘s solo project is a mix of bass and melody. He has the sickest beats and it’s amazing to groove to, SickFlip is definitely an artist to attend!

Parekh & Singh

Nischay Parekh and Jivraj Singh create unabashed pop and have loads of fun while they’re at it – something that is quite evident in their live performances as well.

Vir Das Alien Chutney

Funnyman Vir Das is the frontman of comedy-rock band with original and insane lyrics. Relatable, hilarious, and unexpected, check out Alien Chutney for some laughs!

Nucleya

Bass Raja. ’nuff said.

Alobo Naga & The Band

Alobo Naga & The Band are Nagaland’s favourite boys and one of the top acts from the North East. Their live shows are quirky and unique, and definitely worth checking out!
