Music Festivals give life to this otherwise mundane world and entering the magical arenas for a couple of days is always a breath of fresh air. India is no stranger to some beautiful festivals and events and here are some that you need to plan for this year!

1. Magnetic Fields Festival

2017 brings you the fifth edition of Magnetic Fields Festival and you need to experience the ethereal vibe of the palace. It’s three days of living in a flurry of music and magic that no other festival can compare to. Set in a 17th century mahal in Alsisar, Rajasthan, you’ll be transported back through the years because of the infrastructure and decoration.

Dates: 15 – 17 December 2017
Venue: Alsisar Mahal, Sekhawati, Rajasthan

2. Bacardi NH7 Weekender

Bacardi Nh7 Weekender is quoted as the “happiest music festival” and we’re in total agreement, but it’s also a more than that. With 40+ artists usually performing at the each of the major venues, music is definitely the central theme, but there is a lot more going on for the attendees. From the ever-present Ferris wheel, to unique mocktail bars, there is a lot to experience. It happens in many venues across the country, and we’re waiting for this year’s announcements!

Dates: TBA October-December 2017
Venue: TBA Multiple Cities

3. Road To Ultra, New Delhi

World famous festival brand Ultra Music Festival recently confirmed that they’re coming to Mumbai and New Delhi and during their next cycle of festivals! The festival giant has spread all across the world and India is finally a part of it. Although it’s happening in Mumbai next year, the New Delhi edition is happening this September!

Dates: September 2017

4. Sensation

Sensation India took place in Hyderabad on 5th March 2016 and it was a raging success. The owners and organisers had to pull a lot of strings to make the Sensations first chapter in India as opposed to Mumbai, Delhi, or Bangalore, but they worked hard for it. The event promoters have confirmed that Sensation Hyderabad will continue for the next 5 years, although we have no news yet. Maybe it will happen later in the year.

Dates: TBA
Venue: Hyderabad

5. Enchanted Valley Carnival

Enchanted Valley Carnival is a two day festival full of brilliant performances, fun activities, and endless music. Major Indian and international artist performances, sky diving to camping, there’s a lot happening each time. It usually happens in December in Aamby Valley City and we’re looking forward to this one!

Dates: December 2017
Venue: Aamby Valley, Lonavla

6. Guestlist4Good

Inceptor of Sunburn, Shailendra Singh, piqued the curiosity of the nation when on January 1, 2017, he launched a mysterious countdown clock on the website of his latest entertainment endeavour, Guestlist4Good. Block your calendars for Dec 1 | 2 | 3, 2017, because you won’t want to miss The World’s Biggest Guestlist Festival. The three-day event will unite the world of entertainment and music, right here in India, for the benefit of Indian children. The exact venue and lineup is yet to be revealed, but the festival promises an intensive experience for all music lovers with a heart.

Venue: TBA

7. Don’t Let Daddy Know

Don’t Let Daddy Know is a major international festival was brought to India last year by Ferriswheel Entertainment and hosted it’s maiden edition in Mumbai. You can revisit it here, in pictures. The Don’t Let Daddy Know INDIA put up a post a few months ago confirming that it’ll be back in 2017!

8. Ziro Festival of Music

The Ziro Festival of Music which is held in the picturesque Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh usually happens in September each year. Three days of selective performances by indie artists set in the most gorgeous outdoor venue, Ziro is one of the most popular festivals in India, especially in the north-east.

9. Sunburn Festival

Sunburn is probably the most popular and well known music festival in India and this year is their 11th edition. They’ve been hosting their flagship edition in Goa each year, although last year they branched out to Pune. It’s definitely not going to be in Goa this year, but the venue hasn’t been announced yet. Stay tuned for details!

10. Electric Daisy Carnival

Electric Daisy Carnival‘s India debut was truly stunning. Their spectacular lineup wasn’t even the best part, as they focused on the whole experience and took it to another level. The EDC performers, the stage setups, production, decoration; everything was unique and brilliant. Although they haven’t confirmed their return to India this year, their EDC India page is pretty active and rumours are that it will be happening.
