In 2013 when Shantanu Pandit and Dhruv Bhola were spending their college days jamming and creating music with each other, little did they know that in just a few short years they would be launching a full fledged album. The vocalist and guitarist added bassist Danik Ghosh and drummer Bhairav Gupta permanently to their roster and started their journey which led them to recording their first single ‘Move Over’ and stages all across the country like NH7 Weekender, Ziro Festival in Arunachal Pradesh, and many more.

Vocalist/Guitarist Shantanu Pandit thinks that the best setting for playing their music would be, “A room full of depressed people. A funeral could work out pretty good as well, I guess.” That’s a morbidly modest take on the music that we think is soulful and mellow and would be perfect for a rainy day. All the members are a part of other bands as well, like Dhruv Bhola who also performs for singer/songwriter Prateek Kuhad, but all the band members agree that their main focus is on ‘Run! It’s The Kid’. Bhola says, “We’re all full time musicians and so we each do our own thing apart from Run! It’s the Kid. But for the most part, our band dynamic is pretty good, and so we’ve been able to hold it together.”

They released their first single ‘Love We’re Made from Porcelain’ from their self-titled 2016 album and it was a great preview for the rest of their melodic music. The 10 track album released in February 2016. Dhruv Bhola says, “We started out as somewhat indie-folk but we’ve moved towards slightly heavier though still waltzy music.” One of their older songs ‘Aimless Quest’ is also a part of this seamless album which they recorded with Miti Adhikari at his studio in Kolkata.

Apart from the album tour they want to make a few music videos of the singles from their album, “We hope to make one or two videos for our tracks, but since we are self-financed, it still remains under doubt.” Watch out for them at a cool venue near you!
