Known for raucous crowds and big stage festivals, Goa’s reputation as a party destination is known around the world. Wonderwall, Goa’s new boutique beach festival strays from that formula and is an intimate party fromDecember 28-30 that hopes to invoke the same spirit that made the beaches of Goa the world’s favourite party destination before Thailand and Ibiza.
To be held at the Sunset Ashram that overlooks the Arabian Sea on Ashwem Beach, Wonderwall has been conceptualised by friends – music entrepreneur and DJ Nikhil Chinapa, Goa-based entrepreneur Shailesh Shetty and Oum Pradutt, founder of Phase 1 Experiences headquartered in Bangalore – has been envisioned as an intimate gathering for the bohemian Indian, amidst swaying coconut trees and in the company of friends, free from the trappings of mass festivals.
There will be a in store for attendees on day two with a special line-up curated by Anjunadeep that includes a special, back-to-back set by rising talent Yotto and old-favourite Jody Wisternoff. Dutch act Cubicolor, whose debut album Brainsugar was one of 2016’s most anticipated releases and reached number one on iTunes India electronica charts, will also be a highlight for Anjunadeep fans.
