A lot of us attended Coldplay in India, but a lot of us missed it as well. They perform across the world and an upcoming gig from their current tour in is Bangkok, Thailand on the 7th of April. Happening at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Huamark, it’s going to be a larger than life experience, as every Coldplay concert is. Since Bangkok is close by and even has visa on arrival, we decided to calculate the budget to fly there for a long weekend, attend the concert, and explore the city.
Round Trip Flights: INR 20,000 approx.
Flights from a major city like Delhi or Mumbai are manageable in around INR 20,000. You can explore a variety of sites like Makemytrip and Skyscanner, and even check out Google Flights to get the best deal.
3 Night Stay: INR 2,250 approx.
Stay in Bangkok is pretty pocket friendly, and you can get a room at a 4 star hotel like the Ramada in under INR 1,500 a night. Presuming you’ll stay for 3 nights and occupy the room with someone, it will just cost you INR 750 a night, which is INR 2,250 for the whole trip!
Festival Tickets: INR 7,000 approx.
Being a huge stadium, there are a variety of ticket levels available, starting at just under INR 7,000. You can explore the ticket options here.
Approximate Budget: Flights (INR 20,000) + Stay (INR 2,250) + Passes (INR 7,000) + Visa On Arrival (INR 2,000) = INR 31,250 + Overhead
With Bangkok being a pocket friendly place overall, it’s easy to manage three days of food and drink in under INR 10,000, so this trip is actually definitely manageable under INR 40,000!
